The Chess Association of Novi Sad organized the YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP OF NOVI SAD in OPEN competition and girls competition.
All interested players born in 2002 and younger had the right to participate in tournaments. All registered participants must be registered for the clubs of the Chess Association of Novi Sad or must be related to Novi Sad in some way (live, work or study in Novi Sad).
Due to insufficient registered participants of the YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP OF NOVI SAD in the girls category, all participants play the same tournament.
The championship was played according to the Swiss pairing system of seven rounds and according to FIDE rules for regular chess. Tournament was rated, and the time control: 60 minutes plus a bonus of 30 seconds for each move starting from the first per player for the entire game. The main arbiter was FM Željko Medar.
After 7 rounds, the first place was won by Nebojša Todorović with 5.5 points, the second place went to Leonid Ivanović, while the third place was taken by Srđan Isić. The best-placed girl and also the only one was Mina Radenković with 3 points.
The announcement of the winners and the awarding of trophy and medals was 15 minutes after the end of the last round.
