\"A few days ago, on February 2 to be exact, the final results of the ISC (International Chess Problem Solving Competition), held on January 21 simultaneously in 25 countries around the world, were announced. The competition took place in three groups: in A group with a rating above 2000 points, in B group with a rating below 2000, and in C group in which cadets born after 12\/31\/2010 competed in the official competition.<\/p>\n\n\n

Among the Serbian competitors, the greatest success was achieved by the junior from Novi Sad, FM Dejan Omorjan<\/strong> He won with 50 points second place in the overall ranking in the B rated group<\/strong>, <\/em>\u0430 \u0438\u0441\u0442\u043e\u0432\u0440\u0435\u043c\u0435\u043d\u043e \u0458\u0435 \u043d\u0430\u0458\u0431\u043e\u0459\u0438 \u0458\u0443\u043d\u0438\u043e\u0440,<\/strong> so he won two awards. This year, the Serbian veterans did not completely repeat the great success of the previous year, when they took the first three veteran positions by winning the fourth to sixth place. \u017divan \u0160u\u0161uli\u0107, composer and problem solver, is the best veteran in Group B with 45 points and sixth place. Milan Simi\u0107 was in tenth place with 37 points, thus winning the second veteran award. Slobodan Bojkovi\u0107, the author of this text, due to circumstances, performed without any preparation and with 33 points he is in 17th place, so this time he was left without veteran recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is encouraging that after only two solvers at the ISC competition in 2022 and seven in 2023, this year there were 23 solvers from Serbia under the age of 13. And that in terms of numbers, we convincingly hold the second place behind the Russian cadets. And all that, despite dissuading some chess coaches from solving the problem, not realizing the benefits of the children's parents and accepting the coach's advice.<\/em> Because if only 10% of the time devoted to standard chess and blitz games were devoted to problem chess, the results would be better not only in chess, but also in all other fields of children's activities. Since this round counted for the Cadet League of Serbia, there were 10 solvers in the unofficial competition of Group C. The most successful was Bo\u0161ko Stefanovi\u0107 (BG) with 29 points, followed by: Lazar Batica from Novi Banovac (NB) with 27.5 points, Mila Radenkovi\u0107 (NB) with 24 points, Uro\u0161 Zari\u0107 (NS) and Nikola Raj\u010devi\u0107 (AR) with 21 points, Lazar Girgis \u00a0(NB) with 19 points, Marija Jefti\u0107 (BG) with 17 points, Ognjen Dimitrijevi\u0107 (NS) with 15 points, etc. All results can be found on the \"Eternal Chess\" website in the Problems section. http:\/\/www.perpetualcheck.com\/problem\/index.php?lan=cp<\/a>  There are also problems and solutions from the ISC competition, the Cadet League of Serbia, and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given that we already have a larger number of younger children, and that the same problems are being solved, for the sake of incentives for advancement, we distinguish two age groups: up to 12 and over 12 years old. In the group of boys up to 12 years old, the Novi Sad players dominate: Aljo\u0161a Rado\u0161evi\u0107 with 23 points, Ognjen Radi\u0107 with 18 and Konstantin Mandra\u0161 with 16 points, while Stefan Reli\u0107 from Aradac has 15 points. And among the girls, An\u0111ela Markov from Aradac is by far the best with 20 points, followed by Milica Vuji\u010di\u0107 (BG) with 10 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results from the ISC competition in all three groups, and not only them, can be seen on the website MatPlus.Net, which for years enthusiastically hosts the IM FIDE for chess composition and the international referee Borislav Ga\u0111anski from Zrenjanin.
