Scholarships for the most talented athletes in Vojvodina

On 24th of May, the most talented athletes in Vojvodina, aged 14 to 20, and sports experts were awarded scholarship agreements in the Provincial Government. The contracts were handed over by the provincial secretary for sports and youth Dane Basta, who pointed out that this year 33 branch federations applied for scholarships for a total of 180 young athletes. "The Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth approved scholarships for 95 most talented athletes. As Basta reminded, the "Sports Talents of Vojvodina" program is of special importance because it aims to identify young sports talents, monitor their results, test them at the Provincial Institute for Sports and Sports Medicine and invest in their development and progress in a timely manner.

Within the sport of chess, scholarships were awarded to Anja Jovanović, Jovani Srdanović, Marko Milanović and Milan Gagić.

Novi Sad's hopes Anja Jovanović and Milan Gagić have achieved numerous successes in the chess world, both on the territory of Novi Sad and beyond. Milan is the current youth champion of Serbia, while Anja took a great third place at the Serbian Youth Championship for female players this year!
