The Chess Association of Novi Sad organized the August Open tournament in Novi Sad. The tournament will be played in the premises of NŠK at Street Nikola Pašić 26, from 8th of August to 11th of August 2022.

The prize fund of the tournament was 24,000 thousand dinars, which will be divided into three regular prizes and three special ones: 1.10.000 2. 8.000 3. 6.000 4. 5. 6. place - literature.
The tournament was played according to the Swiss pairing system with seven rounds with computer pairing. Time control: 60 minutes per player + 30 second bonus for each move played starting from the first.
First place with 6 points from 7 rounds won Jaeel Atharva, second place took Мирзи Авдићу with 5.5 points and the third place won Халим Хутиновић with 4.5 points.
