The Chess Association of Novi Sad organized the semifinal tournament of the individual championship of Novi Sad in blitz chess. The tournament was held at the NŠK premises in Nikola Pašića Street on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 8 p.m.
Rights to play All interested players with a FIDE rating of less than 2000, as well as players without a rating, had the right to participate in the tournament. All applicants must be registered players of clubs of the Chess Federation of Novi Sad or who are in some way connected to Novi Sad (live, work, or study in Novi Sad ).
Direct right to play in the final tournament had:
- The four first-place players from last year's championship (GM Siniša Dražić, GM Aleksandar Kovačević, FM Milan Popović, IM Anđelko Dragojlović)
- Grandmasters
The final tournament was held on 2nd of the March 2 and 3rd of March , starting at 19:00.
The tournament was played according to the Swiss system with 11 rounds with computer pairing. Time control: 3 минута по играчу + 2 секунде бонуса за сваки одигран потез.
The organizer provides digital watches and chess sets.
