The Chess Association of Novi Sad organizes every month the individual open championship of Novi Sad in rapid chess for the current month.The time control for the game is 10 minutes per player + 5 seconds per move played, seven rounds according to the Swiss system. The tournaments are RATED by FIDE. All interested chess players and chess fans are welcome. If the participant does not have a FIDE rating, by participating in one tournament he will be assigned a FIDE number and has the possibility, if he meets the necessary criteria, to receive a rating at the same tournament.
The championship for October took place on Friday, October 18, 2024.year, and the first place with all 7 victories was won by a female cadet Sara Mijić! Second place with 5-7 went to FM Andrej Ljepić, while the third place with 4.5 and slightly better additional criteria took Ognjen Ćuzović.
