The Novi Sad Chess Federation organized the "Novi Sad International U2400 Championship" from June 22 to 24, 2026 at the "Putnik" hotel, Ilije Ognjanovića 24, Novi Sad. The tournament was held as part of a chess festival that included competitions in classical, rapid, blitz and junior chess.

Classical chess tournament
All players with a rating below 2400, as well as unrated players, were eligible to participate. The official FIDE rating list for standard chess from 1 June 2026 was used. The championship was played according to the Swiss system in 6 rounds with computer pairing. The time control was 60 minutes per player with an increment of 30 seconds per move from the first move.
На турниру је наступило 70 играча из 19 земаља, спајајући генерације од седмогодишњака до седамдесетогодишњака. Прво место заузео је Петр Наумов са 5.5/6, друго место је припало ИМ Александар Грановски са 5/6 и бољим додатним критеријумима, док је треће место припало је GM Barua Dibyendu такође са 5/6. Четврто место је заузео Новосађанин ИМ Дејан Лескур са 4.5/6, пето Novodvorskiy Dmitriy и шесто ГМ Синиша Дражић.
