CHESS ASSOCIATION OF NOVI SAD organizes every month the individual open championship of Novi Sad in rapid chess for the current month. Time control is 10 minutes per player + 5 seconds per played move, seven rounds according to the Swiss system. The tournaments are rated by FIDE and are played according to FIDE rules. The championship for the month of January was held on Friday, 5.1.2024. in the premises of NŠK at Nikola Pašića street number 26 in Novi Sad.
All interested players had the right to perform, and the participation fee was 300 dinars for local players and 500 for foreign players. The prize fund was formed from registration fees.
First place with 7 points from 7 games was won by Milan Gagić. The second place was taken by GM Milko Popčev with 6/7, while the third place was taken by FM Mladen Gajić with 5/7 and the best additional criteria in player group.
