NOVI SAD CHAMPIONSHIP IN RAPID CHESS - JULY 2026.

The Novi Sad Rapid Chess Championship for July 2026 will be held as part of Chess Festival Novi Sad International Championship U2400.

It will be held on Sunday, July 21st, starting at 6:30 PM on the first floor of the "Putnik" hotel in Novi Sad.

The tournament will be played according to the Swiss system, computer pairing in 8 rounds. The time control is 10 minutes + 3 seconds per move played, starting from the first. The entry fee for this rapid tournament is 10e.

Prize fund

1. 7.000 РСД
2. 5.000 РСД
3. 4.000 РСД
4. 3.500 РСД
5. 3.000 РСД
   6th-10th place: chess pieces

Prizes are not divisible, and in the event that two or more players have the same number of points, additional criteria decide (shortened Buchholz, Buchholz, head-to-head, sonneborn and draw).

CHESS ASSOCIATION OF NOVI SAD organizes every month an individual open Novi Sad rapid chess championship for the current month. Time control is 10 minutes per player + 3 seconds per move, seven rounds according to the Swiss system. The tournaments are RATED by FIDE. All interested chess players and chess fans are welcome. If someone does not have a FIDE rating, by participating in one tournament they will be assigned a FIDE number and have the opportunity, if they meet the necessary criteria, to receive a rating in the same.
